small vs large grands

They may advertise equivalent soundboard area... ;-}

However,  I suppose it depends on what upright and what grand.

I don't have any 121cm upright scales at hand, but the old Yamaha C3 
(184cm?) we have here has a 53"/~135cm A0.
I have a _148_cm upright at home which only has a 50.25"/127.6cm 
A0.  That's a little more than a Baldwin R (172cm ?).

I'd think that a 121cm upright with 135cm A0 would have a _really_ angled 
set of bass strings.
