My understanding is that people from Asia have different taste for sound
at less in the pass. (nothing new here)=20
Now base on some Yamaha and Shigeru l touche recently the sound is much
warmer than 15 years ago.
Other consideration is for a very humide climate if you like bright
sound, you will need a firmer brighter hammer otherwise the humidity
will affect the felt to much and the sound will be dull with time.=20

I do not work on these pianos anymore, it was just an answer that raised
into my mind as I was looking at the sides of a new Renner hammer set
labelled "Louis Renner Stuttgart".

So according to what you say, these pianos are equipped with hammers
made for the japanese market...
