Sure, if you must.

Not with the Mapes IG. They don't have them in the first 
place, and I bend something similar from welding rod so I can 
load the canister without "bird nesting" myself into immobility.

 From the center. "Start Here" is for unaccompanied tours.

Drilled holes (3) in the cannister.

Nope, These seem to be the proper available level of disgust 
for my stringing volume.
