Help with squeaky pedals

Those do tend to squeak on older Yamahas.  So do the little dowels that hold the pedals in place in the lyre.

Yesterday on a G5, I thought I had nailed the squeak by lubricating 
the rod end in the rubber grommet but moments later the squeak reappeared. 
 
It turned out to be the pedal pivot pins.
