Just out of curosity, what sort of areas are you tweaking aurally? I have found the high tenor will sometimes be too stretched for me...I don't find a lot else that jumps out at me when using my SAT III... What I find the most useful in a quality ETD is the ability to see how much that piano tuning is changing underneath you as you tune. A quick check back a couple of octaves can find that it is still going flat a bit after a pitch raise. To aurally assess this would take some time... I'd suggest every aural tuner check out an ETD, if nothing else, just to prove to themselves the superiority of their un-aided tuning...;-] I also think every beginning tuner should be learning to tune by ear.
