Perhaps it's just my reaction to not the infrequently poor quality of so many of the consumer-level Baldwins I've seem in the past couple decades, and Baldwin's near indifference to the past decade's PTG conventions (when's the last time they held a recital at our summer convention?), but I would find recommending a Baldwin SD10 to be a rather large leap of faith. Did the concert instrument department survive the company's bancruptcy intact or is it a shadow of its former state? Anyone on the list currently happily working on brand new SF10Es (the 7 ft model) or SD10s? Skeptically, Patrick Draine RPT
