Hi Les, I'm hiring a professional mover to move it, piano mover. Fortunately, I can ask some of the chapter member here whom they used. Hopefully, we'll have the room for it. I'll have to tune it once it's moved in. Take care. A friend tried such a move with no such dolly and it dind't work. les bartlett houston ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of pianotune05 Sent: Tuesday, July 18, 2006 6:01 PM To: Pianotech List Subject: Re: dropped piano Speaking of moving a piano, is it possible for me to have my wife's piano moved to our apartment that we just moved into? It has 8 steps going up and there's a turn on a landing before one can head toward our door. Is it going to be possible to get a Kimball artist console up the steps with enough clearence to turn it in order to get it into the living room? Thanks for your ideas in advance. Sides are pulling away from the plate , and the keybed is now all screwed up. It gets better when I pull the piano back to original position. What would be your best remedy for this problem?
