Kimball Console-broken damper rod hook

Just get a good hard wire of similar diameter from your local hardware/hobby store. Drill out broken stud from rod. Bend new wire and cut to length. I have epoxied mine in place - others I think have recommended soldering it in place (check the archives). Polish the part that goes into the bushing.

It's actually much easier a job that you might think. Use old piece or other hooks for proper dimensions for bending, etc.

List. I'm servicing a Kimball Console, and have a broken damper rod hook. This hook broke off
right below the entry into the rod. This hook is the one located just prior to the bass lift rod
  "coupler" (overlap).

Are there damper rod hooks available from some source or from a tech on the list?
Schaff catelog does not show any.

Can one hook in the middle of the rod, (there are two others in the middle and one at the far
right end near the lever), be removed and relocated where the broken one now is located?

Can a new hook be made by someone?

Are there any suggestions from tech's on this problem?

  Many thanks in advance.
