How do you subdue silicone in a finish?

 When I used automotive two pack paint to spray a grand I was advised to
apply a silicon neutralizer before spraying. The automotive trade uses a
silicon neutralizer on all repair spraying. Go and have a talk to your
friendly crash repair workshop.
The product I uses was called "Siliconoff" wax and grease remover. This site
could be helpful.
