Barbara, It would be a simple tool to make. A block of wood w/slits cut into it, at the predetermined width of the proper "strip" size. Epoxy some single edge razor blades into the slits, cutting edge up. Also, when you make the first block, make a second with the same slits, of the same spacing. Lay the bushing cloth on ther "razor block". Put the "cutting block" on top of it and hit it with a hammer. All of the cuts will be the exact same width, every time. Of course, you only want to "slit" a 1/4" of the edge of the bushing cloth, just to get it started for tearing, which is what I recommend. All of this is dependent on the type and thickness of the cloth you use, of course. Store this device with the two blocks sandwiched together, so it's safe. A rubber band will hold them together.
