If you are lucky.?
?
I discovered both of the broken Baldwin struts that I've run across so far by investigating sluggish actions. The back of the wippens were rubbing on the sides of the struts as they moved forward...?

Can you say, "back away, quickly"??

I discovered this on a Hamilton at a school, when I pressed the damper pedal and I heard a slight click. I discovered that the damper levers were tapping against the strut.

Under normal circumstances, to get anything done in a school takes weeks of paper work and approval from the school board. But when?I told the principal that that piano might explode and cause injury to the students, that piano was out of there with in the hour.
