Plate LetteringI micro write the scale on the bridge in pencil, just barely noticeable to me as I string, and there for future reference.

  I personally do not demarcate the wire gages because it detracts from the
  appearance of the plate. Most techs carry a micrometer anyway, or should.
  But a fluid writing pen will also allow you to free-hand numeric characters.
  It's not just for the lettering.

  The handle is a little narrow for my grasp so I split a length of player tubing
  and wrapped it around to beef it up.
