Who is afraid of a good soundboard?

Greetings,
I am not as afraid of a good soundboard as much as I am that this list
will become useless if every commercial piano concern in the world is allowed
to advertise on it. We have a journal, which I think would be the best place
to hawk wares. More $upportive of the PTG, too.

Now, if a vendor was prepared to discuss the technical reasons his
product is superior, and put some of their own values into the discussion, this
is the perfect place to do it. This list is an obscure, skeptical hall, with
lots of dark corners and brilliantly presented ideas. We live among
digressive inhabitants, unfounded beliefs, temperamental crusades, and surreal tonal
agendas. In any direction are found privately nursed grudges, and a hundred
'best' ways to do damn near anything. There is also an mysterious side to it,
for those that must look deeper.

Want to talk about soundboard wood here? Throw it (instead of the
packaging) into the hearth and we will all gather 'round to see what's up. What
is the difference between this wood and another?

Regards,
Ed Foote RPT
