The pinblock has a tongue that's set into a groove in the stretcher. I've done a few with a hand saw. I suppose you could use a sawzall, or the Bolduc router blade. Or the Fein MultiMaster: https://www.4multimaster.com/vcc/feinpowertools/multimaster/565787/ I haven't cut out a block yet but I did remove a bass bridge body from the apron in short order and very neatly at that.
