    How are the wires oriented in the vertical plane?  Can you move the 
tray distally?  Are the backchecks really hanging out that far over the key end 
felt?   Maybe shorter spoons, or maybe the spoons were not installed deeply 
enough in the underlevers? Or, perhaps, the spoons are bend too far up.  I 
assume that the dampers are lifting at the proper time? 
Weird stuff.
