I have a customer whose Japanese-born wife is having her childhood Kawai upright shipped here to Minnesota. I spoke with him about the Yamaha Gray Market issue and also indicated that I haven't heard of a similar issue with Kawai. Is it an issue? I guess it's on its way on a ship right now. Since our summers are hot'n'humid, it's not an immediate concern, but winter will be here before we know it with its 10% IRH. I told him that I MAY recommend a Dampp-Chaser, and possibly one with a higher humidistat. (Obviously, I'd love to see them at least put in a standard DC!) Thoughts? And thanks!
