Why make anything "easy"?  LOL;   Nice, Ron!  Oh wait! I have no contact 
cement in the shop!!  Now, more difficult!  PVC-E; plenty. Oh, the 
dilemma!!

Great idea.  Never thought of trying it that way.  Probably because, that
would be too easy...  :)

You can use contact cement just like PVCE for this, assembling it wet, 
and pressing it down again a few minutes later. Works fine, and no 
alignment problems.
