[pianotech] Pin removal speed

Greetings,

What's the consensus on the speed at which to remove tuning pins from an otherwise good pinblock?

I've read to go slow as to not heat up or burnish the hole, and I've read someone on here recently who recommended the exact opposite, namely to go fast so as to not build up excessive heat.

So which do you use?  Why? Are your results consistent?
