Being a player specialist, I can't tell you whether you should hire out the
Duo-Art or not. The wind motor doesn't usually flip forward on the newer
 (1970's or so) models.  If it is a more modern player piano, as the
description sounds, you should be able to get the wind motor out but you've
got other obstacles to get around. In most older players from the 1920's
era, the player unit comes out in one piece, in a couple of minutes. Not so
with the modern smaller ones; you can't really get the player upper unit
above the keys out. You can only get it as far up and forward as the tubing
will allow. You mentioned you were in Philly. I used to buy old players by
the dozens at Cunningham's. Why not try them to see if they have a player
guy there? You can ask for a percentage for the referral or whatever other
techs at this site might suggest.
