Hello, In Europe, the common dimension is possibly 12 mm (0.48 '). Beside, depending of the sharps you can put them high enough so the wood of the key is not yet visible, but the most important thing is not to have them bury when you have the proper after touch. Burying sharps make a very difficult to play keyboard.
