Now What?

Aside from making sure your screws dont screw too far in as it were....
just make sure the action spread is what it should be. Leave a couple
old whippens in, one in the treble and one in the bass... and screw in a
new one besides each and check the flange center pin position.  Use
thicker felt if you have to.

I have also heard tale of new Renner flanges for Steinways not haveing
exactly the same profile on the bar side as the old ones, so you might
just want to make sure they are the same.

If you need to just use a washer on the out side that should be no
problem at all.
