Questions about a new Steinway B or other 7'

I find myself in aggreement with Ed here.  A Steinway at a Jr. High School sounds like
a bit of overkill at best, and a waste of resources at worst.

While I much prefer the Steinway sound (at least the Hamburg Steinway sound) to Yamaha
in general.. The Yamaha C3, C6 and C7's have IMO demonstrated themselves as veritable
workhorses. Dependable, as little maintainance as you could ever expect from any
piano, and a very aggreeable sound and touch... tho light and bright are usually key
words

I cant speak to Kawaiis, as we nearly never see any high end K's here.
