Bob, We recently installed the oversized casters and shorter legs on 2 of our performance pianos. Floor marks are not really a problem. We also use the pneumatic transporter "thingy" from Jansen on 2 other D's and they work nicely. It takes some patience getting everyone to be consistent in placing the transporter properly. We leave the piano elevated a few inches while in offstage storage. The jacks need to be replace every now and then at a cost of $75. The legs are $1,117 per set and the casters are $1,424 per set. It is my humble opinion that these casters improve the sound projection of the piano, as compared with the traditional spider. They are also more aesthetically pleasing as well.
