[CAUT] Institutional bench purchasing?

Hi Rick,
I like your style.
As a music teacher for 39 years it was always my fetish to keep all music
stands like new,
Tightening them twice a year. Also any thing that was damaged was promptly
removed from use. A rather large voice was heard in the room whenever misuse
was observed.
But prior to use by students, all equipment was demonstrated and its propper
care outlined.
It rather galls me when I see instruments and equipment trashed and very
little said by the person in charge.
14 years at one school and only had to replace one stand.
Mother is now stepping down from soap box <g>
