Hi Jeff,

Sounds like a job for a ups unit. Have an electrician add a switch to turn
the "beep beep beep" on/off and it will double as a warning that the DC
unit has been disconnected.

The piano will remain powered for as long as the battery lasts--several
hours are possible.
