[CAUT] loose schimmel lyre

One of my customers needs a repair done on his Schimmel CC. The left hand lyre post tenon is loose in its mortise, but the right hand one is still good, at least superficially. Has anyone successfully done a repair that doesn't involve somehow removing the pedal box entirely, cutting out the old wedges, and driving new ones with fresh glue on the joint? If I could fix just the bad joint without disturbing the good one, that would be great, but I don't see how to either cut out the wedge or spread glue this way. If it is necessary to totally remove the pedal box, do you have any suggestions for doing this without too much banging, which I'm afraid might also loosen the joints at the top!

Thanks,
Todd Loomis
