Welcome to the list! The causes of this type of string breakage are metal fatigue (non-technical terminology) caused by stress. File the hammers to the correct shape, replace the strings in the effected sections, care for the hammers regularly, and the strings will not break so much. My experience with strings breaking (in any brand) is that excellent classical pianists often break treble strings, and churches usually break bass strings. The best way to minimize this in both cases is to service the hammers frequently in order to maintain he shape. Don Mannino RPT 74473.624@compuserve.com
