Reply to: RE>hats off to the Boston Chapter PTG (non-technical
message)

I always wonder - do messages like this need to be put on the pianotech
listserver? - or personal messages such as: "Hi - blank - . How are you?"
The pianotech listserver monitors itself pretty well, but occassionally there
seems to be an abundance of personal side comments or spurts of wit which, I
personally, do not have the time to go through every day. While I appreciate
as much as anyone the need for wit, humor and individuality, I wonder if the
pianotech listserver is the forum for personal messages and oblique comments
which are more exclusionary in nature than they are helpful to the rest of the
list readers. For instance, it is nice to know that the New England Seminar
was very successful, yet couldn't such a congratulatory message be sent
directly to the chapter involved instead? Do all technicians have to read it?

Just some thoughts -

Congratulations to the Boston Chapter PTG for an absolutely super job on the
NEECSO Seminar this past weekend. The whole event ran like a fine Swiss
watch. It will truly be a tough act to follow. (You will need to devote an
hour or so at your next chapter meeting to pat yourselves on the back!)

Many thanks for an inspiring seminar.
