Yamaha Service Bond

David/List...

I still do an occasional service bond...Aren't there two service
bonds for a sale? The customer for one Yamaha dealer gives the
customer a free tuning and the service bond in 6 months or so.
Typically with the service bond I will check the screws in
sections rather than tighten them all, if needed I will
tighten...here in CA. they are usually tight. The regulation
is rarely in need of adjustment. I just visually check
letoff/drop in sections and I might bring down the rep tension
if too strong. I certainly tighten the bench bolts and check
hinge screws/tighten as needed. Tighten plate bolts slightly.
Adjust pedals and tune. The first tuning will insure I have a
piano up to pitch and I won't need to pitch raise. I can do
this in about 1 & 1/2 hours but I am moving quickly.

> tighten every single hinge, case, plate, pinblock and bench bolt
> remove action, tighten all the action and damper flange screws
> Adjust pedals
> Align hammers and other action parts
