strange noise

Hi Dick,
    Check to see if the soundboard is glued firmly at the perimeter, and
also the downbearing, crown, and that the bridges are actually glued and
screwed firmly to the board.  A loose board can cause a short-lived
rapid decay dead transient tone full of gigantic but slow frequency
false beats coupled with an indistinct watery tone.
