Piano Trucks are a detriment to tone?

Mike,

I know of no research, only experiences of those who have tried it. I
have heard the change, in a concert hall with wood stage. Less full
tone, less projection after the truck was installed.

The main reason some companies prefer the large locking brass casters is
so that you can move it easily (almost as good as a truck) but still
keep the coupling to the floor.

With a concrete floor this affect may not happen - the truck may even
improve the tone!
