I don't think there is a quick and simple way. It either takes fifteen minutes of very involved conversation for them to accept you as knowledgeable, worthy, etc., or you can offend them away quickly and worry about it later. My old man used to offer, but never practiced, the advice that, if you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle 'em with BS. You are probably doing everything that can be reasonably done already. Relax, don't sweat it. They are, mercifully, in the minority. Ron
