Roy,
       Respectfully, if you will not pay dues to the organization, what
gives you a right to raise your voice on a policy issue.
You are quite content to take a free ride on our dues, to gain knowledge
from the list, and we are happy to reach out to many techs, to help in any
way we can, hopefully this will make many think of joining.
You contribute nothing by sitting on the side line,
I am an associate  member for my own reasons, but have been treated with
respect by all members.  I have learned a great deal from this
organization, but most important, is that I will be an apprentice in this
business to the very end.
I am very happy to pay my dues, and share my humble amount of knowledge, as
I know that I get much more in return.
Have the gut's to get involved, then your comments may have some validity.
