Hi all,
This afternoon I had a trouble call one a Baldwin M that I had tuned in =
a group of 6 in the last couple of weeks. The choir director was =
complaining about double striking. I got there this afternoon and was =
going through the whole thing explaining action regulation and I could =
see his eyes glazing over. So I said why don't you let me work on it =
for an hour and pay me for that . He said OK and I did. Covered a lot =
of the small stuff- roughing the tails, moving the backchecks , raising =
the hammer line, checking repetition spring strength., realigning =
hammers. Surprising how much you can do in an hour to help. I got my =
hours work and he got a better playing piano. So that made 5 paying =
calls for today which helps since I only have 3 scheduled so far for =
tomorrow.
