Tuning Time

Dear LHSBAND440,

I would encourage you to use your name.  Even though this list is somewhat
impersonal, having a name helps a little bit.

How long should it take?  That depends.  How long have you been tuning
pianos?  My guess is that nearly every one of us took three hours to tune a
piano when we were starting, so that's a consideration.  Eventually you learn
how to work more efficiently, and what exactly you want to hear, and it goes a
lot faster.

Most of my tunings take 45-60 minutes.  Actually, beginning to use RCT slowed
me down a little bit, but I have reasons to believe my speed will return to
normal within a year or so.
