source for maroon felt?

You could use some of the material Schaff sells as "String Cover Felt".  It 
is a nice quality material, 70% wool and 30% cotton.  The catalog number is 
29M (the "M" is for "Maroon").  It is a dark maroon color.  It is sold by the 
yard, which is more than you would need unless you went ahead and ordered 2 
yards of it with the intention that you would supply a string cover that 
matched the understring felt.  Then you could cut out your string cover from 
the big rectangular piece and make your understring felt from the remnants.  
I think you could also order just a half yard of it.
