When figuring cents off-sets of HTs (from ET) you start from the note it was
historically started from. This is usually middle C. If however the
ensemble wants the A to be 440 or 442, how do you give the offsets to
acheive that on an ETD?

I said to see how much A is off-set in the tempermant. If it is say
10.26 cents flat, to set the "callibration" of A to 10.26 cents sharp of
440. So if you want a to be 442 would you then set the machine to 442,
then add 10.26 cents to that? Then go to C and use the
offsets that are commonly published?
