No sweat Paul. I had your class circled once or twice in the past, but something else took precedence - you know how those conventions are: so many classes, so little time! Anyway, no hurry on this one. The lady owner of the 1996 S&S "M" doesn't have a clue. Little Susie pianist - 7 years old and 38 pounds, who they bought the piano for - isn't being too critical yet. And somehow I don't think anyone that visits really notices either, as they gaze at the sleek case and look off over the piano through the 80,000 square feet of glass, over the mangroves, and out over Old Hillsborough Bay (a little segment of Tampa Bay), and watch the dolphins jump and play, and the great Blue Herons glide past. No, I think at this point I am the only one interested in understanding the imperfection. In the meantime, I'll just have to amuse myself figuring out how to best drill a pinblock, set plate height, refinish a piano, regulate dampers, make on old action work good - cheep, set a temperament, hear different partials better, etc. BUT, if I figure all that out and get real good at it before July, I'll be kinda upset with your coyness! ;-) Terry Farrell Piano Tuning & Service Tampa, Florida mfarrel2@tampabay.rr.com ----- Original Message ----- From: <Motspheres@AOL.COM> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Wednesday, January 24, 2001 11:18 PM Subject: Re: More False Beats S&S > Terry: > > I don't mean to be coy in my answer, but as I said to Jeannie, there's more > to come on this whole topic in a couple of different formats.
