damper weight/underlever spring tension: was personal discovery

I agree with Jon Page, the Renner underlever system is excellent. One
question, what is the ideal tension that should be carried in the springs,
perhaps a better question, what is the ideal weight range, bass to treble,
for the damper plus underlever plus underlever spring. The danger is
getting them too heavy so that it effects the touch in a negative way.
Where does one cross the line between effective damping and a heavy feel to
the action.

P.S. Please don't suggest late pick up of the damper--not a good solution.
