Greg;
 There is a "racial" component wherever you are...yes even in Ohio. However
that there might be a different "racial" component in Alabama is a given.
"Racism" is inherent in us 'all', regardless of race, and the only thing we
have control over is whether it is positive, negative, neutral or
individually determined. This should not be 'the' determining factor in your
decision, in my opinion.

The important things to consider ,from my point of view (not needfully in
order):
1.) Will you further your professional career?
2.) Will you enhance your family life?
3.) Will you provide a 'broader' horizon for your children by the move?
4.) Will your income possibilites increase?
5.) Usually the tech is considered "staff/faculty" and therefore any
educational oppotunity provided by the College is very reasonable, if not no
cost, to 'all' family members........(with the cost of school these days and t
he quality of UA credentials, coupled with young children, this would be no
small thingee ;)

 Besides I gots family what work at T'losa campi and they good folk. Give me
a shout if'n y'all wants to discuss this som mo.
