Ditch the tuning pin bushings

Joe,

I'm not describing a tapered tuning pin, with which I'm familiar, but
rather one which has two different diameters:  one (either 1/0 or 2/0,
for example) from the top to a point just below the coils, and the other
(4/0, for example) for the rest of its length.
