No.  I could well be out of date and you and Isaac are probably right.  The argument you refer to will have taken place after Abel and his brother and one other key workman walked out on Renners to set up on their own, leaving Renner virtually without skilled hammer men.  It was not long after that that Steinway began to use Abel.  I'll take your word for more recent history.

As to the Laoureux felt I say Abel uses, that is recent information given me by Laoureux only a few weeks ago when I visited there.  I gathered the change had been made quite recently.
