Yes. The three smaller S&S pianos are classic examples of excessively =
short backscales. Sadly their basic design has been (is being) copied by =
many other pianomakers unwilling or unable to do their own R&D work.

Anything you can do to lengthen the backscales in these pianos will be =
beneficial.
