Respectfully because, knowing myself, there will be a time when I =
won't have any silk cord, on the road, at a relatives, and knowing if I =
don't see any fishing line, any conveneince or drug store will have =
dental floss. Not for every note. The chances are there will be more =
that fail rather soon necessitating a shop repair. These ideas are for =
emergency field repairs. Make the note work till you get back sort of =
thing.
Kinda like knowing chemistry and finding everything needed in the =
kitchen. It's not pretty but it works.

      Keith,
You are of course correct in your suggestion for emergency =
repair. I can think of many situations where I "found a way" to get =
through a problem with an alternative technique or material , but I =
thought the postings were presenting the alternatives as superior to =
silk . Interesting thread huh ?=20
          Sorry couldn't resist . =20
