You might try the small, almost flat, spring that is used in the Steinway.
It creates a pressure fit when you raise the key cover. All that is needed
is about an 1/8" clearance on one side. Attach with flat head screw(s). Just
determine where the "arc" of the cover is and put it in that path. It's
easier to do than explain. These springs are available from the supply
houses.
