At least someone did a little research.

Another writer published an article after speaking to a local piano moving=20
company and a local piano dealer both to verify wether Babe could have made=20
this historic throw.  Obviously both have stated that it would be physically=
=20
impossible for him to pick up and throw an old (or not so old at THAT time)=20
upright weighing in the vicinity of 600lbs.  But they did state that a group=
=20
of guys partying with Babe could have pushed it off the deck, so I'm sure th=
e=20
search will go on.  Hopefully they will research this a bit further and find=
=20
out that even if the piano is there, restoring it is out of the question.
