Young Chang damper tray removal

Hi David. Are you speaking of a Young Chang? I know you can do it that way on a Kawai. Access to the "screws into big flanges on which the tray rotates" appear blocked by the flange that is screwed to the tray (kinda hangs down at an acute angle). Or is there some way to push it up out of the way? I tried that and of course the dampers prevent much travel.
