Anyone know how a 1913 M&H lid is attached. Most that I have seen have to or more wood screws going into the framing and have the heads sticking out. Slots are recessed into the bottom of the lid and the lid slides onto these screw heads. Is this how this one is attached? If so, which way do I pound on the lid - pound from the front or the rear?
