Sarah: Are you sure about those measurements? If all the tenor and treble strings are the same diameter, then who ever did the restring job did a grossly incompetent job. The wire should graduate smaller and smaller in size as you go up the scale. No wonder the treble is not as responsice as you like. This piano needs to be restrung properly. There are charts and guides for specific brands and models of pianos. At this point you will need to consult an experienced rebuilder and have an appropriate stringing pattern calculated for you.
