I aligned a few hammers on a Samick Studio the other day by heating the shanks with my heat gun. Certainly, the bass strings received some heat from the heat gun. The owner left a message saying that several bass strings sound "dull". Will heat from a heat gun make a bass string go tubby? Terry Farrell
